the upscale ghetto
My grandmother’s house has always been a place of comfort, love, and safety for me. However, I never realized that much like my mother and uncles, I also grew up there. My grandmother’s house has become a second home to me. I am grateful to be witness to the changes in my grandmother’s house—for better or for worse. This project will highlight these changes as well as capture the essence of my grandmother’s house and the feelings that I associate with it: a sense of nostalgia: a place where holidays are hosted: a place that is comfortable and relaxing— the true definition of a home containing memories for over 53 years.
